Sometimes I just can’t believe the things I read.
The entire, overarching premise of this newsletter is two-fold:
You’ll Never Retire, either by choice or out of necessity. Ideally, you’ve come to grips with the second part so you can proceed positively and productively with the first part, calling the shots of your Never Retire situation.
You could retire tomorrow if you’d like—maybe you’re already retired—but, using your personal definition of Never Retiring—you’re simply looking to stay mentally and (maybe) physically engaged and vibrant into relative old age and beyond.
No matter your Never Retire dynamic, you can probably agree that—whether it directly affects you or not—there’s a retirement crisis in America. The impact of which spans demographic groups, from Generation Z to senior citizens struggling during their traditional retirement years.
This isn’t reasonable thinking as much as it’s objective fact.
Unless, of course, you’re this guy—and among the presumably like-minded—who makes an insensitive and tone deaf, if not dangerous argument, relegating the so-called retirement crisis to “a figment of your imagination.”
