I backpack per person is a fantastic rule. When our kids were younger, it was "you can bring it if you can carry it," which in real terms meant either a back pack or rollerboard for them.
Thanks for your reply. I was billed by Substack for August and September on my Visa. I have sent them an inquiry as well as to why I don't have access to articles.
I have a one backpack rule as well. Saves me from overpacking. Learning to to pack just essentials and basics, is a skill that once you learn it, will make your travel experience all the better. The experience is the trip, not what is in your bag, so make it easy on yourself. Now I have to figure out how to have my dog as a carryon.
She is my first and only at 13 years old now. I would like to give her a peaceful ending place. Dogs are like children, you cannot just up and go whenever you want. Although she is small (15lb Pug) I did not know of the travel restrictions and expenses for taking a dog when I got her. I think that is why most pet owners stay put. When I go, I hope it is a one way ticket.
Nope! Check with your airline, but, even with a base fare on Ryanair, we have never had an issue. Though I think some airlines/fares can be more strict if they only allow a "carry on."

Hello,
I have upgraded to paid, but I can't seem to read the full articles. It just keeps asking me to upgrade to paid. Suggestions?
I sent you an email reply. I'm not sure what's going on.

We also have a "no dog rule," but I didn't think that would go over so well! :-)

Rocco, do you have to check those backpacks? I pack light in a duffle that is carry on size. Just curious.

I'll have to check them out. Had never heard of them til you wrote about them.
Not the greatest airline, definitely not the worst. Aggressively low fares throughout Europe.
