Never Retire Flashback: Eating And Drinking All Day In Barcelona For $50

25 days until we move to Spain

I received one of my biggest confidence boosts earlier this year when my wife got sick and I navigated Barcelona—for a day—all by myself. With Spanish that probably wasn’t half as good as it is today (thanks to my wife and my excellent Spanish instructor!), I got by more than alright.

Once we land in Spain—in just 25 days!!—this type of experience will not be a mere one-off. It will be my day-to-day life.

Thinking about the size and scale of this adventure we’re about to go on makes me a little emotional. I’m grateful to be able to do it with the best partner in the world. And happy to know that I’m putting my best possible foot forward into life’s second act.
