Organization, communication, and follow through will be your smooth advancement through the legal process. There is a calmness in how you write it out.. or maybe it is a calmness I am reading into it. :)

What exactly is an apostille? What documents need an apostille? And where do you go to get an apostille? -I have found this to be something mentioned within every group discussing immigration/visas/citizenship. I looked up the California Secretary of State site, buuuut still have no idea exactly who, what, when, where.

An apostille is just certification that the signature on a government document, such as a marriage certificate, is authentic. However, it's not something you get from a notary. An apostille comes from the government and says, yes, this signature is valid.

Oh, okay. So government documents like marriage certificates need to have an apostille. Not all the employment documentation you have for your job. With immigration documents, do you have to produce apostille copies of your birth certificates too? Or maybe that will be something for me as I am trying for citizenship by descent.

In this case they don't require a birth certificate. I think if there was a dependent child on the application, they would need one.
