Hey LA: Barcelona Is Having A 130% Off Sale?
We simply cannot and will never do this in Los Angeles
I have some good news and some bad news.
The bad news first. The only thing I forgot to grab when packing for the February-long journey through Spain and France that we're on now is a very important envelope. Not one containing my passport or cash. But the one with the receipts from Los Angeles grocery store trips I wanted to replicate here in Spain.
That's okay. I'll just have to go from memory. We'll make it work.
The good news. I'm using my Wise account for all of our on-the-ground spending on this trip. Wise keeps your transactions neat and tidy. So it will be easy to give you a near-daily look at all of the spending we're doing.
You'll literally come inside my “bank” account (technically, Wise isn't a bank) and see, at least based on what we've done so far in Spain, just how outrageously, if not prohibitively expensive the United States has become. Times two if you live in a big city like Los Angeles.
Let's start now with that and so much (culinary-ly, urban-ly and culturally) more.
