A while back, a reader made this comment in response to one of my Medium articles. (You remember Medium, right!?).

It’s interesting and—to some extent—spot-on. However, I have a big problem with how the media takes what might be happening in some corners of society and turns it into a universal dichotomy. I did it in the headline of this article. On purpose. Because that type of black-and-white thinking is bull shit.
